The presence of the Hope Tent at the Spiedie Fest & Balloon Rally is growing. This is
a massive endeavor which would never be successful without our 250+ volunteers that have a heart to welcome the lost in the strength of the Lord, and the warmth of The Hope Tent. requires many hands to run smoothly and safely.

Planning & Facilitation |

Administrative
|
The purpose of the Administrative Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing direction, guidance, organization, and support to committee leaders and volunteers with patience and efficiency. They will be responsible for the setting up, organizing, maintenance and clean-up of the office trailer, entertainer trailer & volunteer trailer, as well as maintaining and distributing all master schedules.

The purpose of the Marketing Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by sharing the purpose and vision of the Hope Tent to potential participants (sponsors, volunteers, attendees, performers, etc.) They will be responsible for organizing and implementing the button sales program to the churches, procuring sponsors, creating and distributing flyers, direct mail pieces and signage.

The purpose of the Intercessory Prayer Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by interceding on the behalf of the community and praying for the lost who will attend the Spiedie Fest (starting now!). They will be responsible for prayer leading up to the event, during, and after the event. We welcome volunteers to pray on-site during Spiedie Fes weekend and off-site, beginning now.

The purpose of the Ministry Relations Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by establishing communication with, soliciting completed ministry surveys from, compiling a summary of ministry information about and maintaining communication with the supporting ministries to meet their ongoing needs.

The purpose of the Spirit Idol Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by offering a showcase of local Christian talent and performers. As a volunteer, you may be asked to assist during set-up before performances at Arrowhead Parable Christian Store, or in The Hope Tent during Spiedie Fest weekend. You also may be asked to assist in any communication or organization related to these events.

The purpose of the Counseling Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing compassionate counseling to those seeking information, answers, and prayer.

The purpose of the Music Ministry Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by recruiting Christian performers and assisting in the set-up of the audio & visual equipment; setting up the stages and all equipment necessary for performances and all demonstrations related, in The Hope Tent.

The purpose of the Children's Tent Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by offering a warm and welcoming area for children throughout the Spiedie Fest weekend, through our Children's Tent. Duties may include: set-up; organization; recruiting of children's entertainment, and more. We seek to offer children fun ways to demonstrate the Gospel, including: games, face painting, balloons, and more.

The purpose of the Silent Auction Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by seeking and organizing auction items. The public will be able to bid on the items, which will assist in funding The Hope Tent event. |
| Merchandising | The purpose of the Merchandise Sales Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by offering friendly, efficient service when selling Hope Tent promotional items and bottled water. Volunteers will be responsible for knowing the products and making the sale, while engaging them in conversation while they are there. |
| Photography & Video | The purpose of the Photography Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by taking photos and video in The Hope Tent thoughout the weekend. We want to display these photos and videos on our hopetent.com website and share with the community in future marketing pieces. This is a great way to show the warmth and love of Jesus to all who inquire about The Hope Tent, and all who want to share and experience their memories in The Hope Tent. |

The purpose of the Volunteer Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by willingly serving in an area in which you are gifted/talented. The volunteer committee leader is responsible for scheduling & communicating with volunteers, in addition to assisting the other committee leaders in their recruitment of volunteers.

The purpose of the Facilities Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through the organization and planning of the Hope Tent in areas of lay-out, set-up and tear-down, and to provide necessary equipment and skills to bring supplies and items needed to make this possible. They will also be responsible for implementing a parking plan and a grounds crew.

The purpose of the Sound & Stage Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing speakers, musicians and drama groups with professional quality technical production values; including sound reinforcement, staging, and lighting, while working closely with the music and speaker committee leaders to accomplish this result.

The purpose of the Parking Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by cheerfully welcoming volunteers, entertainers and speakers, providing convenient parking spaces for them, identifying their vehicles, and kindly making other Spiedie Fest guests aware this is designated parking for The Hope Tent. |
HOSPITALITY |

Restroom Maintenance

The purpose of the Restroom Maintenance Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by maintaining clean and properly stocked restrooms throughout the weekend of Hope Tent. Thus far, we offer the ONLY air-conditioned restrooms at Spiedie Fest.

The purpose of the Baby Changing & Nursing Mothers Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing a clean, safe environment to change and feed babies, supplying them with necessary items as well as ministering to them. |

The purpose of the Greeters Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by cheerfully greeting potential guests, looking for a physical need we can meet, offering them a flyer and encouraging them to visit the Hope Tent at the “BIG RED BALLOON”.

The purpose of the Minglers Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by walking throughout the tents, smiling, greeting guests, and engaging them in genuine conversation. The Mingler identifies when someone is in distress, emotionally or physically. Comfortably sit them down and contact a Committee leader or Counselor. Minglers will be familiar with the layout of the tents and know how to locate a leader or Counselor.

The purpose of the Food & Beverage Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing complimentary refreshments to our guests and volunteers with a pleasant welcome and an invitation to experience the Hope Tent and attend the Sunday worship service. They will be responsible for procuring and distributing coffee & cookies to all Hope Tent guests and lunch and cold beverages for the volunteers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. |

The purpose of the Information Table Committee is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in several ways. The volunteers at the tables throughout Spiedie Fest weekend will be warm and welcoming to guests. We offer information about local Christian churches and services. Many of the people who stop by the Information Table are looking for guidance. We offer flyers, brochures and other information. When a guest decides it is time to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we do not ask you to lead or counsel them, rather to locate a Hope Tent Counselor.
